The Loss and The Benefit

1. Bus Topology
   Benefit: Low cost, simple installation.
   Does not require a Hub / Switch
   Loss: Because the signal is 2-way with one cable
   possibility of collision (collision data or mixed
   data) is very large, if it occurs on any broken or loose
   one connector then the entire network will stop,
   check cable end will take a long time
   because it must be done one by one.
2. Ring Topology
   Benefit: Installation of a simple layout, no
   require a Hub / Switch, no collision occurs (collision data
   or mixed data).
   Loss: If it happens on any broken or loose
   one connector then the entire network will stop,
   check cable end will take a long time
   because it must be done one by one.
3. Star Topology
   Benefit: Type of topology is easily developed, if
   damage occurs on one node then only the node
   these are disturbed without disturbing other network.
   Loss: Require an additional cost because it requires
   Hub / switch as a central node (central node)
4. Tree Topology
   Benefit: This tree topology has the advantage of more capable of reaching a greater distanceby activating the Repeater function that is owned by the HUB.
   Loss: Cables used to be much more careful planning is needed so that in its settings,including the layout of the room.
5. Mesh Topology
   Benefit: Robust properties, namely the event of disturbances in connection with computer Acomputer B because damage to the cable connections (links) between A and B, thenthe disorder will not affect the computer A connection with other computers.
